Jessica states, “I love to learn and appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with others who share this philosophy. In college, I want to further develop my skill in art and learn how to run my own art business. Throughout high school, I’ve learned what it takes to juggle my academic and artistic lives. At the same time, I realize that it is okay to rely on others when I experience difficulties and that it is good to have a support system."
As an artist, Jessica has the talent and work ethic of a professional. This academically talented, 4.0 student has gotten citywide recognition for her paintings, with two wooden panels displayed at the De Young Museum and a panel exhibited at the Courthouse in downtown San Francisco. Her work was honored at the Asian Heritage Street Festival in 2008. After college, Jessica wants to be a professional freelance artist and business owner.
Jessica almost single-handedly invented City Arts and Technology’s digital yearbook by photographing and filming half of the digital yearbook, editing and creating the entire thing. She raised funds in the 2007-2008 school year for a week-long art related trip to Nicaragua.
